The charges are firearms-related — possession, dangerous use, concealed weapons, etc. He was arrested along with two others (Jagdeep Singh and Arman Singh) after a traffic stop in Oshawa, Ontario. Role of SFJ & Gurpatwant Singh Pannun SFJ is a separatist organization advocating for an independent Sikh homeland (Khalistan). It is banned or designated in India as a terrorist group. Gurpatwant Singh Pannun is a leader of SFJ; Gosal is described as his key aide/organizer in Canada. After Hardeep Singh Nijjar's killing in 2023, Gosal’s importance in organizing the referendum campaign increased. What India Says / Reactions India has strongly protested many accusations — dismissing them as “absurd” or “baseless.” MEA (Indian Ministry of External Affairs) has repeatedly asked Canada to prevent activities by SFJ and related groups that it claims threaten India’s territorial integrity. India considers SFJ terrorists; it views referendum campaigns and separate state activism as extremist / anti-sovereignty. Uncertainty & What’s Not Confirmed Nobody has publicly released verified evidence proving direct involvement of NSA Ajit Doval (or other senior Indian officials like Modi, Jaishankar, Amit Shah) in Nijjar’s killing or in the recent arrests.
